The Inspiring Power of Ukrainian Circus and Ceramic Art 🎪 ✨

Join us on Friday, July 18, at Camelot Arts Club for a meaningful evening that honours the resilience, spirit, and artistic brilliance of the Ukrainian people through two compelling documentaries and the official book launch of Circus Art History by Dr Lesa Melnyczuk.

Hosted by The Circus Centre Perth and Ukr CHES, this special event features a double screening that explores the healing power of art during conflict—from the joy of Ukrainian circus for children to the defiant beauty of ceramics forged in war.

Guests can explore a ceramic and photographic arts display, enjoy a traditional Ukrainian dessert stall, and purchase a copy of Circus Art History at the dedicated book stall.

DOCUMENTARY SCREENINGS:

A Delicate Balance – A moving portrait of how circus arts bring light to children amidst the shadows of war, featuring footage by Perth circus trainer Chris Mayhew.

Porcelain War – Oscar-nominated and deeply personal, this documentary follows three artists who choose to stay behind in war-torn Ukraine, wielding only clay, cameras, and courage.
