STITCH is an independent runway celebrating Melbourneís underground sustainable fashion movement. It spotlights emerging designers who transform reclaimed textiles into high quality, one-of-a-kind garments, presented in a contemporary, immersive runway experience.

Gritty, cool, and creatively unruly, STITCH channels the pulse of a new culture rising in Melbourne. It is grassroots and handmade. It is slow craftsmanship and community. It steps outside the old rules of fashion and invites audiences into a raw, living studio where waste is reimagined as beauty.

The night unfolds at Brunswick Aces, an iconic local bar known for its moody interior, restored eclectic furniture, and thoughtful reuse. Guests arrive to a panel conversation with leaders in sustainable design, including ELKís co-founder and brand director, Luke from Into Carry, Erica from BOWE, and Melanie from Letís Get Layered. Cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, set the tone as ideas and stories flow.

As anticipation builds, the crowd filters onto the quirky outdoor patio. Beats roll, the bar hums, and the courtyard becomes the runway. Models move through pockets of light and shadow, revealing garments that honour material, maker, and imagination.

STITCH is the live companion to Interwoven, an independent documentary capturing this shift in Melbourneís fashion scene, where waste becomes expressive, high-end design rooted in responsibility. Filming will take place during Melbourne Fashion Festival 2026, with festival submissions to follow.
